At Whites Estate Agents we love to support local community events and initiatives held in and around Salisbury. We have recently supported:
Salisbury District Hospital MRI Scanner Campaign
Whites have once again been busy in the community helping raise money for the MRI Scanner Campaign for Salisbury District Hospital Charity Appeal.
A second scanner will mean patients can have their MRI scans faster here at their local hospital. And cancer, stroke, heart and many other patients will benefit from
the very latest MRI diagnostic techniques, reducing the need for invasive procedures.
The existing MRI scanner at Salisbury District Hospital helps thousands of local people each year. But it is now running at full capacity. This means more and more
people are having to travel to other hospitals for their MRI scan or use a mobile scanner in the hospital carpark.
This included supporting:
Berwick St John Country Fayre
We were proud to sponsor Berwick St John Country Fayre. This popular bi-annual fayre takes place each year two weeks following the Dorset Steam Fair and features, steam engines, tractors, heavy horses, crafts and much more. All of the funds raised during the fayre go towards the appeal. We had a great time and we look forward to next year’s!
Bring a pound to work day
The staff here at Whites took part in ‘Bring a pound to work day” raising money as promoted by Spire FM with staff all bringing in a pound and money from this going to the appeal too.
We also support:
Donhead St Andrew Fete
Two members of our team, Marcus Sheppard (MD) and Mark (Maintenance Manager), headed to the fete and took on management of the very popular china smashing stall.
This involved a lot of china stacking by the adults and coconut throwing by the (mainly) children. This alone raised £175. The fete in total raised in excess of
£10,000. All money raised through the fete goes to The AirAmbulance, the local church and village school.
Woodford Valley Gardening Club
Woodford Valley Garden Club, is open to anyone and everybody with an interest in gardens, flora and fauna. You do not have to be a gardener to belong, nor a resident in the Woodford Valley – all are welcome to join this thriving and friendly Club.
The Royal British Legion " Poppy Appeal".
Held every year in November during the period of Remembrance. This marks the end of the WW1 centenary by saying Thank You to all who served, sacrificed and changed our world.
