Meet the sales team
Headed by Marcus Shepherd – our trusty MD who joined the company in 1993 taking over from his father Trevor Shepherd. In this time the business has continued to grow and flourish turning it into the award-winning estate agency it is today selling and renting houses of all types to people in Salisbury, Tisbury, Wilton, Downton, Amesbury, Shrewton and across surrounding villages. We have tried hard to remain a family business with a traditional feel, but at the same time continue to grow and to embrace change and technology – both behind the scenes through our CRM systems and in our marketing. In 2019 we won Independent Estate Agent of the year for Wiltshire (AI Awards) and Estate Agent of the Year for Salisbury (British Property Awards). We consistently appear number one on Rightmove!
Tony (Lovatt-Williams) heads the Sales team. He has worked in the industry for over 40 years. As well as being a man of great knowledge and experience, he is a pro-gardener and can help you have ideas on getting your house ready to sell.
Matthew (Payne) is a Senior Valuer. He has worked in estate agency for over 20 years and benefits from a wealth of local knowledge having grown up in Salisbury. Matthew is a people person and has an approachable manner which enables clients to feel relaxed and secure in the knowledge that their property sale will be managed successfully at a high standard
Together Tony and Mathew can be relied upon to give you an honest and accurate (and not an over inflated) valuation of your property and their expert negotiation skills will make sure you achieve the best price possible.
Becky (Powis) is our ‘behind the scenes coordinator’. Becky ensures the smooth running between all departments. She is also GREAT at chain chasing, ensuring even with the trickiest of chains a positive outcome is reached. She has worked at Whites for over 17 years and is a great person to have on ‘your team’.
Suzanne (Ballard) heads our viewings. She really is the BEST in the BUSINESS when it comes to viewings. At Whites we take pride in NOT outsourcing our viewings and Suzanne is worth her weight in gold! She will get to know your property and the local area surrounding it, what the local schools are like, pubs, bus routes and other amenities. Her flair for creativity will also help potential buyers get a feel for how your property might suit their needs.
Sandie (Buxcey) heads the administration of the sales team. Her organisational skills keep the ship sailing smoothly! She has worked at Whites for 15 years and communicates well with all our clients and buyers. She loves dealing with people from all walks of life and enjoys the buzz provided by our busy office, where no two days are the same.
Verity (Eastman) heads our marketing. She has worked in marketing since 2000 and draws on her experience of working in different industries to help your property stand out from the crowd. To achieve this, she is adept at promoting Whites brand and your property both on and offline in local papers and through Google, Property portals including (Rightmove, OnTheMarket, Houso and Nethouseprices) and across social media.
