What's happening in the property market in and around Salisbury? Monday 20th March 2023

What's happening in the property market in and around Salisbury?

We are constantly asked what the market is like and how busy we are.  When talking to Salisbury agents now, some say they are active, some not. We are lucky that the phones at Whites Estate Agents have been ringing wildly for weeks, with people requesting viewings and valuations. This is due to the reputation we built up for being a trusted local agent who prices fairly and talks honestly, which has successfully secured us a broad range of quality properties to market. Because of this portfolio of properties, we have experienced first-hand the high buyer demand that is still out there.

What about house prices?

Prices have gone from being in a total frenzy to correcting slightly after the Liz Truss debacle and are now pretty stable.

Tony, our Head of Sales, says: “I believe prices will have risen very slightly by the end of the year.”

So is it a good time to sell your house?

Yes, we believe it is; with Spring not officially upon us and the market looking optimistically stable, why not seize the day? Spring is a time when gardens are starting to look their best, and people generally have a spring in their step, plus the impending doom of the winter months and thoughts of paying your next winter's heating bill is being forgotten.
