This meant more than 22,000 homes and businesses were able to take advantage of the super-charged broadband network following a multimillion-pound investment by the UK’s digital network builder.

Using super--small “connectorised” block terminals, engineers discreetly connected fibre cables to people’s designed to connect up to eight premises in one go, without having to erect new poles. These new cables meant engineers were able to preserve the character of Salisbury’s historic buildings and blend in with surroundings.
